"The Effect of Children on Consumption and Sustainable Consumption Training“ - Meeting in Gospić, Croatia

Between 7th – 11th March, 2016 the second TPM meeting and the first Mobility of students in KA2 – Cooperation for   Innovation and  the exchange of good practices / Strategic Partnerships  for Schools  Only  within the project "The Effect of Children on Consumption and Sustainable Consumption Training“ took place in Gimnazija Gospić, Gospić, Croatia.

The students and teachers from the schools: Maltepe Askeri Lisesi Komutanligi, Turkey; Colegiul Tehnic De Arhitectura Si Lucrari Publice Ioan N. Socolescu, Romania; Istituto Professionale Per Industria E Artigianato "Mario Orso Corbino", Italy; FORAVE - Associação para a Educação Profissional do Vale do Ave, Portugal  met the Croatian teachers and students from Gimnazija Gospić to carry out the planned activities from the first TPM held in FORAVE in Lousado, Portugal, as well as to discuss and evaluate the project.

During this European meeting we had some activities which allowed us and local community to get to know each other better and to make new friends; students from partner countries prepared presentations about schools and their countries. Students from Croatia introduced themselves and their tradition through folk dances, modern music, presentations and films. We also worked on the project theme; choosing logo, scale on the level of conscious consumerism, its application in partner schools, curriculum, activities for the next meeting in Italy like preparing films and dramas on the project theme.

Visit to the European Parliament

Next March, some FORAVE´s students will visit the European Parliament. This visit was possible thanks to the invitation of Dr. Nuno Melo, a Member of the European Parliament.

FORAVE welcomes 1st Transnational Project Meeting

The first Transnational Project Meeting within the KA2 – Cooperation for Innovation and  the exchange of good practices/Strategic Partnerships for Schools Only project "The Effect of Children on Consumption  and Sustainable Consumption Training" took place at FORAVE, in Lousado, from 6th to 12th December 2015.

Delegations from all partner schools participated in this meeting to share the results of the work done so far and to organise activities to be done until the meetings in Croatia and Italy.

Besides the work meetings about the project, there was also a meeting with Dra. Mariana Pereira and Dra. Carla Sousa, from the Educational Department of V.N. Famalicão City Hall, who shared Good Practices with the partners concerning the municipality projects on fighting food waste and sustainable food consumption and production.
