From 19th to 23rd  October, João Vilaça, FORAVE`s Executive Director  attended the course "Evaluation and Quality Assurance in education and training" at IDEC S.A.,  in Piraeus, Greece.
The main aim of the course was to provide the necessary skills and competencies to managing, administrating and teaching staff of schools, so as to ensure the quality and the effective evaluation of education at all levels, providing insight at the developments at European level as well as at quality assurance and evaluation methodologies applied in education.

"Bringing Europe Closer”: KA1 - Staff training in the Czech Republic

António Mendes, one of our teachers of ICT, attended, from 25th to 29th May, the  course “ICT In Education Course” at ITC International TEFL certificate s.r.o., in Prague, Czech Republic.
António Mendes attended lessons on using e-learning in either a traditional classroom or an online setting and he considered that “with a mix of theoretical and practical knowledge, I practice the necessary skills in order to be able to effectively build my own e-learning systems. Using this theoretical knowledge, I then complete several practical tasks designed to teach how to properly and effectively use an e-learning platform. Incorporating my existing knowledge and experience I learned the importance of collaboration and shared creation in the e-learning process.
The improvement of language skills (the course was held in English) was also a major outcome according to António Mendes who considered that “the overall result of the course was very enriching and helped to increase my knowledge in the field of e-learning and the use of technology in the classroom”.
Upon his return to FORAVE, António Mendes shared his experience and his new knowledge  with the other teachers at FORAVE.

Saturday 30 May 2015

The Portuguese Comenius team arrived in Abbeville on 21st May 2015.
During the 10 days we spent there, we mainly worked on the project together: doing presentations, writing other pages of the multilingual dictionary, evaluating the project, …
We of course took time to discover the surroundings and visit places of interest.
We visited Amiens  and took a ride on a punt-like boat to see the “floating gardens” in the heart of the city. We also went to Lille to see the Louvre-Lens museum with collections of works of art from the Louvre in Paris.
This other step in the project made us consider things differently and made us get a better acquaintance of each other and try and create a  relationship that could last over the coming years …
The outcome of this experience was very positive.
